THE PROBLEM

The quote said "prep and paint." It did not say what that meant.

Paint peels within a year. Color is slightly off. Trim got splashed. Surface prep never really happened. Vague quotes let painters cut corners and blame conditions later.

OUR APPROACH

Written surface-prep spec. Photographed execution. Low-VOC.

Every quote includes the surface-prep specification — cleaning method, sanding grit, primer type, number of coats, dry times. Photo-documented prep stages. Night-shift default for occupied spaces.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you paint during business hours or at night?+

Night-shift is the default for commercial interior painting so tenants never lose a business day. We use low-odour, low-VOC coatings specifically so full occupancy resumes the next morning. Exterior building envelope work usually happens during daylight for cure reasons, but on scaffold or swing stage so lobby traffic is undisturbed.

What surface preparation do you actually do?+

Every quote includes a written surface-prep spec: cleaning method (wash-down vs dry scrape), sanding grit, patching compound and technique, primer type and coverage, number of finish coats, and inter-coat dry times. If the spec is not followed, the warranty is void. We photograph prep stages so property managers can verify the spec was executed.

What coatings do you use for occupied buildings?+

Low-VOC and zero-VOC acrylic latex for walls and ceilings. Water-based urethane for trim and door frames. All occupancy-safe formulations. We source from professional brands (Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, PPG, Sansin) with documented VOC ratings.

Do you do industrial coatings, not just office paint?+

Yes. Industrial epoxy floors, safety line striping, equipment coatings, tank linings, high-traffic wall systems, anti-graffiti coatings. Different crews, different trade credentials, different surface-prep requirements — scoped distinctly from interior commercial work.

Can you match an existing color?+

Yes. We bring a handheld spectrophotometer on site for precise color matching. Useful for repaint of a single wall, a damaged area, or matching an old brand color for which the formula is lost.

What if we need to repaint a single unit quickly between tenants?+

Very common. Standard tenant-turnover repaint: 24-48 hour turnaround for a single commercial unit including prep and two coats. We schedule turnover work around your leasing timeline.

Do you coordinate with other facility work?+

Yes. Painting usually touches other trades: drywall repair, carpentry trim, flooring transitions, lighting adjustments during prep. If the scope involves Steadle (handyman), Lustral (floors), or a licensed trade, we coordinate through your Axiom account manager so the project runs as one job.

About Prymera

Every Prymera quote includes a written surface-prep spec. Photo-documented execution. Night-shift default. Coat right. First time.
